Sligo Technical School was first established in 1904, moved to Quay Street in 1907, and to Ballinode in 1971, changing its name to Ballinode College in 1996. Ballinode is situated on the North side of Sligo town, an area where there has been a huge increase in population in the last ten years due to new housing developments. The catchment area for students at second level is Sligo Town and surrounding area, up to a radius of about six miles.For more info www.ballinodecollege.com

Curriculum: 

At junior cycle the college offers the Junior Certificate Programme. At senior cycle the college offers the Leaving Certificate at higher and ordinary level and also The Leaving Certificate Applied Programme and the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme. The college offers a diverse range of courses for Post Leaving Certificate and mature students.
