West of Ireland School and The Model, Sligo present a weekend painting Art Masterclass led by internationally renowned Danish artist, Allan Madsen.  During the weekend Allan will share the various processes and techniques he uses to create his work including the use of special scumbles, colour and other effects.

  • William Butler Yeats was born in Dublin in 1865, but spent most of his childhood in County Sligo. He is one of Ireland's best-known poets. In December 1923, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature. He is buried in Drumcliffe, Co Sligo
