Student Enterprise Awards
2nd Year Business Studies students are well under way on their mini companies for the Student Enterprise Awards. There are 6 mini companies in total and some great ideas, the students are showing a real flair for enterprise and there are some budding entrepreneurs among them.
From personalised hoodies, to baked goods, trolly key rings in association with Barretstown, commemorative badges and much more, the students are selling day in day out.
Now that the businesses are set up and running, the students are making headway on their business plans which have to be submitted to the judges by the end of February.
We wish all the students taking part the best of luck

Our 1st and 2nd year footballers narrowly lost out to Ballisodare on Wednesday last. Goals were aplenty and the final scoreline read Easkey 6-7 Ballisodare 7-8. Joe McHugh hit the majority of Easkey's scores from full forward and contributed 2-4 in total, whilst Hayden Gilroy scored 3-1 from midfield. Cian Murray also hit 2 points in what was a closely fought contest.

On this our first competitive match, our lads managed a very impressive performance, with 2 tries from the very impressive Christopher Lavelle and one each for Hayden Gilroy and Joe Mc Hugh. Unfortunately we lost on this occasion by 2 tries, however a great start to build on, well done lads.
Ten of our first year students including five girls, Ellie-May Culkin, Ruby Knibb, Cassandra Mc Cloat, Natasha Tywdell, Ann-Marie Kavanagh and five boys Darragh Cull, Jack Kelly, Cathal Finnegan, Brandon Kupczak and Aaron Conlon with Ms Cawley all set off on our second LET trip to Fermanagh for three days and two nights.
