Colaiste Iascaigh News
Rugby
On Tuesday December 6th the Colaiste Iascaigh u14 team attended a Rugby festival training blitz at Ballina rugby club. This is the second of these events to be organized in the last 3 weeks. On this occasion the events took place on their astro-turf pitch due to the bad weather. Throughout the day we played St Muredachs, Scoil Mhuire agus Padraig and Jesus and Mary secondary school Enniscrone, as well as receiving some very helpful coaching sessions on scrumaging, line outs and tackling.
All students played exceptionally well, with great performances all round. In our final match of the day we secured a well-deserved win over Enniscrone. We are already looking forward to our next match.
We would like to welcome our new rugby coach Mr. David Rowe to our school, and would like to thank Ballina rugby club for their continued commitment to our school.
